DIY Plywood table | Made from a single sheet of plywood

part1, today we're going to make a table out of a single sheet of plywood and in order to. reduce the amount of sanding that I, have to do I'm going to put on. a nice fresh blade for this first table I used, a circular saw to cut the plywood to length I used. the ruler to mark out the angled, cuts for the legs my circular saw is. pretty accurate and with the fresh blade that cuts nice, and easy so I just. did these by hand for the smaller support pieces I cut them to, length and. then marked out the angle corner to corner and cut that as well I use. sandpaper, to lightly round over the edges of the pieces I started the assembly process. by gluing together the, four pieces that would make each of the legs I added. a couple finished screws from the backside, but that's totally not necessary I then glued. and screwed the support pieces together once the glue had, cured on the base of the table, top I also experimented with tine plywood which. was cheaper than the front of your grade poplar plywood, but tended to warp a. little bit more it still made a table doable but is a little, bit trickier. and I had to be a little more careful I decided not to paint the. second, table so I was much more careful about placing screws and I also relied. a lot more on, glue than I did the first one I did like the. idea however of using screws in a, decorative pattern to fasten through the top of. the tabletop and into the legs below I really like, how the profile of this. table is much more visually dramatic and it's still super, strong and overall I'm happy with how it looks but I, thought this. a two and a half inch wide inside frame kind of blurred out some of the, definition that really established a cool aesthetic so I made a few tweaks to. design and this time, reinforce the underside with plywood strips that were glued and screwed. flat to the underside the table top and then glued the. pieces that are going to create the inside frame that's, going to help support the. tabletop the triangular pieces were a little bit too long so I marked, a 45. degree angle and then trim them I then glue these trim to angle pieces to. the, two. inch wide strips that had cut for support it didn't. have single pieces that, were long enough so I needed to kind of patch them. together but there was plenty of wood, to do this I glued and screws the. inner frame pieces to the legs it took the ends, they'd trimmed off the triangular. pieces trim the ends of those and then glue those into the gaps, of the. legs they glued and screw the corner pieces together to make two braces for the. inside, frame of the the table now I'm not going to paint this table I'm just going to use some. putty to cover up the heads of, them I painted a table with a couple. coats of white paint and then glued the base to, the table and the legs to the. table top the table. is quite strong and I think it looks great I also think it's a great way to show off the inside of the, frame of this table. I. think CNC machines and 3d printers are really awesome and provide all sorts of new possibilities. for, making furniture using really, great tools and I'm really happy with the results of this project I wanted to show you how I made the table I. laid the legs out on the underside, on the floor and then measured the. thickness of the wood to make sure that I was going to be able to make this table. I used the. ruler to make the angles for the angles I cut the pieces to length and then marked the. angle corner- to-corner and cut the angles to corner I also marked the angles corner-to- corner I then. switched, my straight edge and rip some pieces off of the end the speed square. came in handy when, I was cutting the strips of wood I used, a single. inch thick furniture grade plywood with a poplar finish I clamped down a, straight edge. and then made two long rip cuts down the edge of the plyo I also check you're also check the same I also cut some triangular pieces off the corners this is both for. aesthetic reasons and also, to create additional supports for the inside the table you can see how I did this table and this table is really cool to show idea. making out great tools. more tools. to follow your guide to making a table I also made sure I have some. designs this. version of this can have a. chance to make some cross out some. cross out the. designs that I made for a when, Ry to show me has some of our projects and I can't wait to see what you do with your projects
